Mixed methods research is a type of research in which a researcher or a team of researchers combines elements of qualitative and quantitative research. There has also been a renewed focus on the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods in addressing research questions/objectives. Mixed methods research involves use of qualitative and quantitative viewpoints for research design, data collection and analysis until inferences are being made.
Research Center for Training & Development (RCTD) is organizing an International Research Workshop “Emergence of Mixed Methods Research-Integrating Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods and Analyzing Mixed Methods Data”on 26th & 27th of December, 2014 through High Definition (HD) Video Conferencing. The design of the workshop is based on cases and exercises.
The researcher will be trained first in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and then integration of qualitative and quantitative methods (mixed methodology). The workshop also includes hands on session on data analysis using SPSS and NVIVO Software.
RCTD will provide all the softwares for practice sessions. The participant will also get a certificate of participation and a DVD of workshop recordings for reinforcement of learning. The researchers from Universities, Research Institutes, R&D Organizations and Social Sector Organizations can participate individually or institutional in their own auditorium/office/home from anywhere around the world.
RCTD has a specialized video conferencing facility for hands on sessions and enhanced audio/video learning. The individual participant can participate using a laptop/desktop computer connected with internet.
